博士毕业于中国科学院动物研究所，荷兰莱顿大学、德国慕尼黑大学访问学者。中国动物学会鸟类学分会委员，中国声学学会生物声学分会委员，中国动物学会行为学分会理事，中国林学会青年工作委员会委员。国际期刊Wildlife Letters编辑部主任。

主要从事鸟类学研究，重点关注群落生态学、行为生态学、鸟类鸣声通讯、城市化对鸟类影响及鸟类保护、生物多样性监测与保护等。

主持国家自然科学基金（2项）及其他纵横向课题十余项。发表一作或通讯作者论文二十余篇，其中SCI二区以上十余篇。
